Rate 28.31 pounds per hour.

Ebild Ltd require Senior Simulation Engineer to work across Jaguar Land Rover sites. Applicants should have significant experience with Powertrain in being able to design new and develop existing models without assistance in Witness. Applicants should be able to train and coach others to build competency in simulation 3 and be able to demonstrate a high level of motivation and resourcefulness. Applicants will be confident enough to operate with minimal supervision.
Being qualified to Degree level in an appropriate technical or business management discipline is preferred but not essential. Applicants should have a good understanding of statistics and preferably experience with statistical analysis. They will also evidence advanced Excel skills and be Flexible with respect to travel between sites, including overseas travel, at short notice. Applicants will be highly driven with proven mentoring and leadership skills, ability to motivate and lead teams to drive efficiency. In addition, they will have excellent communication and facilitation skills with the ability to interact at all levels and within all functions. A good Business Acumen and a good understanding of the wider implications before making decisions or recommendations is expected too. Candidates will have courage and tenacity to challenge existing work practices to drive improvement. Finally, they will be able to generate documentation that enables clear communication to the business. A knowledge of programme planning activities is preferred but not essential.
*To Lead the development in strategy, methods and techniques.The role and responsibilities include :-
*To lead activities regarding Discrete Event Simulation for all Powertrain programmes.
* To Coach and mentor the Industrial Engineering team in order to grow the departmental skill base and competency.
*Liaise with customers from PTME Production Engineering and the EMC’s, assessing objectives and procuring input data.
*To build new models, update existing models, and running studies using Witness software to ensure consistency of purpose across all programmes.
*Be responsible for generating the standard reporting system for all simulation activities
*Be able to confidently advise and lead discussion regarding study results, including risks and opportunities to people at all levels of the business.
*Develop processes and infrastructure to ensure effective input at all programme stages.
*Review current working practices and interfaces for areas of improvement using external bench marking.
*To identify and implement Best Practices across the department.
