Ebild Ltd require Manufacturing Engineer to work at the Land Rover plant in Gaydon. Applicants should have a thorough understanding of press tool design, methods and technologies; demonstrate knowledge and familiarity with key processes, facilities and technologies used throughout the pressed parts process chain and; be able to deal with complex technical situations and identify clear navigational paths through them.
Applicants will have proven experience in : Working with Tooling Project Planners and Purchasing Group to establish a viable timeline and plan for an assigned portfolio of press tools; Managing progress, and delivery of tooling into press facilities whilst ensuring compliance with targets for performance, quality standards, program timing and cost. They will have experience operating as subject matter experts and `own an assigned portfolio of tooling, providing regular, structured updates on performance, quality, timing and cost. They will also have a drive for the best possible tooling outcomes by ensuring that the design phase maximises panel quality and overall hits per hour performance. As well as possessing good business acumen they will be able to establish a professional, engineering interface with product design and tooling vendors to ensure robust management of engineering change with minimal impact to the project outcomes.
Preferred applicants within the Technology, Standards and Business Office will demonstrate responsibility for developing and deploying the tools and methods to establish direction and drive improvements to the overall enterprise encompassing such things as capacity planning, technology, materials and process developments as well as quality systems and standards. An applicant able to undertake this Quality Processes role will be responsible for creating, implementing and maintaining quality systems that help fulfil the mission and the goals of the department. It necessitates the applicants ability to successfully plan, evaluate and improve business processes and procedures to enhance speed, quality, efficiency and output.
The role and responsibilities include :-Preferred experienced applicants will demonstrate an ability to work with Tooling suppliers from EU and Asia Ensuring tooling complies with standards and meets or exceeds target press facility performance. They will assume responsibility for all aspects of panel dimensional and cosmetic quality as well as fit for purpose build in BIW assembly facilities. In addition, they will be able to manage the interfaces with Product design, Toolmakers, BIW assembly, Quality during early build and launch phases. An experienced candidate will also be able to Develop and report upon KPI’s ensuring learning from one program to another is captured and contained within engineering standards and operating procedures. Finally, an experienced candidate will also have a relevant degree or equivalent experience.
